5 Pillars of Health
The other day I sent a newsletter about jumping off the health and wellness rollercoaster and finding a plan that works for the longterm!
Doesn’t it just feel good to get into a groove that is easy to actually stick with? (If that isn't the case for your good friend, hang with me, I’ve got a helpful tip for them below.)
It’s a little mindset/organizing hack …
And it’s something to think about when a person gets sidetracked, overwhelmed, or aren’t sure what to do next.
I encourage my clients to always circle back to the 5 simple pillars of wellness – and to do what works for THEM for each of the pillars.
The 5 Pillars of Health & Wellness:
- Healthy nutrition
- Regular exercise
- Sleep
- Relaxation (including stress relief mindset work) & Rest
- Exploring willingness/resistance to change
When my clients make time for these 5 pillars – and are INTENTIONAL and CONSISTENT with them – they feel SO MUCH BETTER.
They have more energy, their mood is better, and they report having fewer aches & pains. Things just feel easier for them.
These positive results and small successes make it even more doable for them to stick with their healthy habits.
I know that when I don’t pay attention to my 5 pillars, I can’t wait to get back to them because it makes such a big difference in how I feel and function.
Want an action plan to help you stick with your own pillars?
Here’s a little assignment: come up with 2-3 core actions for each of YOUR pillars, that always help you feel great. Write them down so you always have a plan in case you find yourself a little off track.
